I am interested in human behaviour connected to the irresistible drive of remaining. As individuals, inserted in a specific frame, either consciously or unconsciously, they are confronted with macro/micro organizational structures that condition and push them to perform certain actions. These conditioned behaviours usually channel them towards to absurd and consensual acts that are socially accepted, which sometimes go beyond rationality, and, other times, show ways to transgress or submit oneself to the reality. I am most interested in the interstice, the gap, this margin in the rules of the game.
These human behaviours are closely related with those that take place in the natural realm. I research, through analogies, those in which the common essence is verified, the attempt of remaining and the inherent wish to persevere. In this way, and through an empiric, naive and experimental curiosity, I am influenced by various disciplines of knowledge. Through art, I don’t seek to demonstrate a scientific truth, but display certain relationships, shifs and actions.
Me interesan los comportamientos humanos vinculados al impulso irresistible por permanecer, por seguir estando. Y como los individuos, insertos en un marco determinado, de modo consciente o inconsciente, hacen frente a macro/micro estructuras organizacionales que les condicionan y empujan a realizar determinadas acciones. Muchas veces estas conductas condicionadas derivan en actos absurdos consensuados y aceptados socialmente, que en unas ocasiones van más allá de la racionalidad y en otras, muestran formas de subvertir la realidad o de someterse a ella. Lo que más me interesa es el intersticio, la grieta o el margen que permiten las reglas del juego.
Estos comportamientos humanos guardan una estrecha relación con otros que se dan en el medio natural. A través de analogías, investigo aquellos donde se verifica la esencia común, el intento por seguir estando y la voluntad inherente por perseverar a la incertidumbre. De esta forma y mediante una curiosidad empírica, ingenua y experimental me nutro de diversas disciplinas del conocimiento, acercándome a través del arte, más que a una verdad científica a lo que muestran ciertas relaciones, desplazamientos y acciones al ser activados.
